Graduation production of the 12th class of theatre studies of the University of Tartu Viljandi Culture Academy.
Joseph K is an ambitious young man from the country, who enjoys a plum job at the bank, values his position and works hard to preserve it. Striving for greater power, he fails to see that here is no balance and no real relationships in his life. On the morning of his 30th birthday, Josef is arrested and the trial begins. What is he charged with? What is his crime? Is he a man who loses all, because someone has made a false accusation about him? Or is it a process towards self-awareness that strives to guide people on the right path?
Combining psychological, physical, puppet and visual theatre, The Trial is a youth production that addresses the base questions of being human.
