The street photography exhibition “One Moment” shows unrepeated moments outside of theatre, captured by the Estonian Theatre for Young Audiences’ lighting technician Targo Miilimaa. While Miilimaa’s daily job in theatre is about using light to create images for unrepeated moments on stage, outside of theatre he captures transient moments with his camera. Every day in the street, even the most mundane one, is made of moments that are never repeated. Just like a theatre performance.
The exhibition highlights moments in the street, which the photographer himself describes as follows: “People’s lives are fast-paced and sometimes they don’t even notice everyday moments, even though it is all happening around us. I have tried to create moments that would make the viewer feel like, ‘I’ve seen it’. It is our everyday life that you pass by. I have just captured it with my camera.”
The exhibition is open in the vault of the Museum of Puppetry Arts on 07.09.-30.12.2021.
